RRS Employee's Set Ambitious Charity Fundraising Target

Posted on 21/08/2018 by Aaron Dupre

Regional Recruitment Employee's Fundraising Initiative

East Midlands based recruitment agency Regional Recruitment Services undertake a special fundraising project, that supports numerous local and national charities. The Leicester Recruitment firm has been an advocate for local businesses taking part in community projects and fundraising for charities. Most recently partnering with Alex's Wish in their mission to raise vital funds to save lives of young children and adults who have a condition known as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This involved some fantastic activities with the highlight being an 18,000 ft skydive which raised over £1,800 for the cause. However an upcoming campaign deserves special recognition, as the project was actually pursued by employee's of Regional Recruitment, in an ambitious fundraising initiative over the next 6 months.

CSR is a very important fabric of the Regional Recruitment Services' organisation. Which is why the organisation is tremendously proud of its staff to have undertaken such a grand project . It sees a collective goal of £2,500 over the course of the next 6 months, to raise money for charities close to the teams hearts. The campaign kicks off with 2 seperate activities, although equally as challenging.

Asda Foundation Leicester 10K

Engineering Team Manager Kishan Limbachya and Communications Manager Aaron Dupre have set their sights on completing the Leicester 10k run by The Asda Foundation. Both inidividuals have enjoyed training for this event as they set their targets to complete this course in under one hour. Ex-servicemen Kish Limbachya chose to run on behalf of Help for Heroes, which for those that are unaware support service personnel and military veterans with injuries, illnessses and wounds sustained while serving in the British Armed Forces. Communications Manager, Aaron Dupre joined us through our successful acquisition of sister compny, Big Bear Recruitment. Big Bear Recruitment have been operating for the last 5 years as specialists in healthcare, providing nursing employment solutions to care homes, hospices, hospitals and other medical facilities. For this reason Aaron had a natural affinity to raise money for Cavell' Nurses Trust, supporting a community our organisation is very much a part of.

"Working in the healthcare employment sector for the last 5 years, I have witnessed first hand the upmost dedication the UK's Nurses, Midwives and HCAs have for their career in supporting life.

A noble profession, that for the majority - stems from a deep rooted passion to support and care for others. I have come across some incredible stories of personal sacrifice and hardship, in order for nurses to continue with their profession. Devoting themselves to assisting either ourselves or our loved ones through the most challenging moments in life.

It's a pleasure to raise money for a cause and community that we are very much a part of."

- Aaron Dupre (Communications Manager)

Leicestershire 3 Peak Challenge

Regional Recruitment Services third chosen charity in the early part of this project was Charity Link. Charity Link support local people who are experiencing poverty, hardship and crisis by providing basic items that most of us take for granted. RRS has been providing employment in the heart of Leicester for the last 10 years, we believe it was a fantastic choise by the team to raise money that will go towards supporting our local community. Charity Link has been supporting people in poverty, hardship or crisis for nearly 140 years. They help individuals and families who find themselves in severe financial need, throughout the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire region.

In order to fundraise for this fantastic charity, the Regional Recruitment employees embark on a 16 mile hike, that sees them climb some notable Leicestershire landmarks. These include Bradgate Parks' Old John, Bardon Hill and Beacon Hill. Up for this mammoth task is John Boggis (business manager), Amy Geraghty (senior account manager), Stacy Bone (recruitment consultant), Justin Norley (recruitment consultant), Hannah Grant (marketing exec) and Gemma Kirkham (account manager). We wish them all the best of luck in this challenge and their fundraising efforts.

Supporting The Regional Recruitment Team On Their Charitable Journey

The next six months will see members of the East Midlands recruitment group come together, from across two companies, two branches and many different departments. They will raise vital funds for noble causes, that are close to the hearts of the 30 members of staff currently working with us. The group directors are overjoyed that such initiatives can be pushed from their employees, proving that promoting a company with values and good ethics can encourage positive action from its employees. The Regional Recruitment Services board have pledged to back this initiative to help with the ambitious fundraising efforts.

If you would like to get in touch regarding our charity efforts over the coming months please get in contact info@regionalrecruitment.com, we would be happy to hear from charities that are operating events locally. Also if you would like to become a part of this initiative to build a stronger community and support lives that have been less fortunate then ourselves we would greatfully accept any donations to our chosen charities.
