Liam was welcomed back to our Professional Services department during the start of 2019. He has a wealth of experience in permanent recruitment within the Office, Sales and Customer Service industries.

Having worked previously in estate agency and now in recruitment for a number of years. He has developed excellent customer service, sales and management skills, as well as a detailed insight into key issues that companies face when hiring.

Given Liam’s expertise in various markets, we questioned him, as to how he identifies exceptional talent during the candidate selection process.

“Our approach to obtaining a thorough job criteria is rigorous. We leave no stone unturned. RRS want to quickly identify what our service users’ ideal candidate is, before we decide on an effective strategy to make that hire. Our selection process has 3 core stages: attraction, shortlisting and assessment.

There really is no "one-size-fits-all" solution to selection and employers should choose the combination of selection tools most appropriate for the role.

Assessment Centres if well designed and administered can produce high levels of validity. Skills Testing and thorough interviewing can exhibit a candidates competencies. Work-sampling can offer the employer/recruiter a solid prediction of future performance, and psychometric or situational judgement testing can give valuable insights into an applicants aptitude, ability and character."
