Job Description

We have an urgent requirement for a Finance Analyst to join one of the UK's largest retailers head office based in Leeds. The Treasury analyst will perform a key role in supporting the Treasury Manager in day to day cash management activities and will take responsibility for key financial control and compliance activities. The role has many stakeholders, both internal and external. It will allow you to develop your business partnering experience, analytical skills and has the opportunity to develop and coach other colleagues in the team.

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 (Depending on experience)
Full time position 37.5 hours - Monday - Friday 9.00AM - 5.00PM
9 Month Fixed term contract - maternity cover, could be extended
28 Days holiday - Pro Rata

*Liquidity management to ensure cash is available for use when needed and appropriately invested when not
*Execution of FX hedging programs for the group
*Planning, analysis and reporting on payment card acceptance costs
*Delivery of process improvement within the team including looking for opportunities to make processes more efficient
*Management of bank account mandates, bank account structure and play a key part in banking relationships
*Reviewing balance sheet reconciliation's and presenting them to the controllership team, Internal Audit and External Audit as part of maintaining a strong financial control environment
*Manage our compliance with Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery legislation

The ideal candidate will be commercially aware along with;
*Qualified Accountant - preferably with some post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
*Experience in process improvement - spreadsheets, reporting etc
*Excel to intermediate level - Vlookups, formulae, pivots
*Good communication skills, able to build relationships with banks, G4S etc.
*Attention to details - as they will be dealing with large monetary amounts
*Able to thrive in a fast paced environment & comfortable working under pressure
*Need to be outgoing, upbeat, think laterally and challenge status quo
*Treasury experience - desirable but not essential
