An exciting opportunity for a HR ADVISOR exists within a leading environmental company based in Manchester, This is a 12 month Temporary Maternity cover

Basic Salary of £27.000 - £32,000 per annum
28 days holiday Inc. bank holidays

The HR Advisor role will ensure that issues are resolved effectively through the provision of professional advice - outlining options and making recommendations, providing solutions that are fit for the business and right first time - showing a true understanding of the challenges and encouraging a partnership approach.

*Act as a first point of contact for line managers for employee relations matters, providing advice and support by telephone and email, but also by working in the business and acting as an advisor at meetings.
*Effectively classify cases, ensuring identification of risk at the appropriate level
*Provide specialist HR advice and solutions that are cognisant of current legislation and tailored to company policies and procedures and business realities
*Support and coach managers, developing understanding of employee relations issues and empowering others to foster a positive climate for ER
*Encourage a best practice approach.
*Support the development of policies and procedures as required whilst also managing and evaluating the efficiency of processes, striving for continuous improvement
*Effectively utilise monitoring and reporting tools to help identify trends and enhances thinking towards meaningful outcomes
*Report to Senior HR Advisor directly, but also provide support to the HRBP as required

*The HR Advisor would need to have Minimum Level 5 CIPD qualification
*Experience at HR Advisor level within a unionised environment and preferably within a similar industry
*Proven Employee Relations experience including complex disciplinary and grievance issues
*Thorough and up to date knowledge of UK employment law
*Experience of working within an operational HR role
*Experience of working independently from line manager and creating networks with key stakeholders
*Clear business focus and understanding with a commercial awareness and eye for pragmatic solutions.
