IT Helpdesk / Technician
Location: Barnsley
Benefits: £16,500 - £17,000 per annum

Excellent, immediate opportunities available, based in Barnsley town centre, within the IT Support Division of a leading financial service company. The hours for work will be Monday - Friday, business hours between 8am - 6pm.

The main activities in these roles are:

- Working as part of the Helpdesk team, acting as first point of contact for IT queries and system issues to over 100 staff
- Prioritising work schedules to minimise operational down time
- Escalating issues to 2nd and 3rd line accordingly
- Providing guidance to a wide range of users, in terms of software applications and desktop tools, both over phone and at colleagues work stations
- Assisting in the maintenance of the company IT and telecoms systems, software and hardware

- A genuine interest in developing a career within IT support
- Technical and customer services skills
- An empathetic and approachable manner
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
