Job Description

A fantastic opportunity exists for a Key Account Manager within a leading FMCG company. This position will be home based covering the UK.

Basic Salary c.£35,000 per annum depending on experience

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying/onboarding and managing key trade accounts with broad direction. Independently and collaboratively develop key account sales and marketing plans across all trade channels to achieve and exceed sales and brand equity growth within assigned national and regional key accounts.

*Effectively present technical product knowledge, programs, promotions, sales literature, technical information, company values etc. in a concise, coherent, consultative and convincing manner to achieve the sale.
*Develop and produce an up to 18 month rolling key account plans/forecasts and maintain the company standard for account management (e.g. quarterly review, routine updates, etc.)
*Identify and close new key trade accounts with broad direction.
*Determine new and existing customer's needs through research and apply a broad base of technical product knowledge to create and deliver solution driven value selling presentations.
*Implement and deliver agreed marketing and commercial plans to grow sales.
*Support wholesalers and resellers sales and marketing plans with pull through activity
*Develop creative and feasible commercial solutions for accounts to address under performance, drive sales and profitable growth, including online presence with those accounts with e-commerce sales and e-marketing opportunities and effective merchandising.
*Drive the execution of local and national marketing promotional campaigns, support merchandising and sales literature, as needed.
*Identify, develop and maintain customer and end-user relationships to enable sustainable product sales and create new opportunities for new product lines.
*Able to independently identify, engage and sell new customers across assigned trade channels

*Able to present Company and technical product knowledge of all company brands in a relevant, coherent and convincing manner.
*In-depth territory and key account knowledge including customer base, consumer behaviours and unique market drivers.
*Professional and tactful interpersonal communication skills to understand, persuade, influence, develop and maintain relationships.
*Able to effectively communicate and report on territory performance, planning, challenges, solutions.
*Intermediate working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications
*Ability to identify business development opportunities and turn them into tangible, profitable and executable sales
*Demonstrable experience in consumer packaged goods business development experience to include identification and opening of new business and maintenance and growth of existing customers to achieve goals.
*Key account sales experience within a wholesale automotive, hardware, industrial, and/or relevant channels
