As the Production Operative, your primary duties will include undertaking repetitive production tasks, general labour and housekeeping duties in a busy factory that manufactures lintels, fencing, flooring & walling and pre-cast concrete sections for the building sector.
To be a successful Production Operative for our client, you will have the following skills and experience:
*Must have previous production operative / general labouring experience or have a genuine desire to work in a hands-on factory based position.
*Must have strong practical skills as the duties may include using a shovel, trowel, mixers, measuring and cleaning equipment on a regular basis.
*Must speak, understand and read English language to a high standard.
You will be working a standard 42.75 hours per week on a flexible shift pattern that runs between 06:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday. Public transport access nearby to the factory is limited around shift start and finish times, so candidates will ideally have their own transport.
In return, the Production Operative will receive a weekly paid salary up to £9.92 per hour, plus the opportunity to work regular overtime paid at premium rates. Starting rate will be National Living wage with possibility to rise up to £8.50 within first few weeks. After 12 weeks working via Regional Recruitment Services, this position my lead to permanent employment with a Leicestershire manufacturing company that have been established for over 50 years.
