Job Description

We are urgently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a leading manufacturer based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Full training is provided, however experience of machine operation within a manufacturing environment will be a distinct advantage. Competitive hourly rate and an immediate start available for the right candidate.

WORKING HOURS:

*Standard working hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm and Friday 6am to 12.30pm
*Candidates must be flexible with working hours as shift patterns may be subject to change

DUTIES INVOLVED IN THIS VACANCY:

*Operating a number of machines within the production environment, including converting machines and packing equipment
*Setting up and cleaning down machines at the start and end of the shift
*Carrying out raw material roll changes as and when required
*Working towards strict production targets and maintaining the quality of goods produced
*Carrying out routine quality checks during production and recording results
*General warehouse duties such as maintaining the tidiness of the production area, clearing away excess raw material and moving products to storage areas of the warehouse
*Complying with the company's Health and Safety policy and hygiene standards at all times

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATES FOR THIS VACANCY:

*Experience of machine operation within a manufacturing environment will be a distinct advantage when applying for this vacancy
*Candidates should be mechanically minded, with the ability to problem solve and to follow and understand written instructions
*Candidates will be expected to learn how to operate machinery both as part of a team and independently
*Must have a strong work ethic and have an understanding of production targets and quality procedures
*All applicants must be flexible with working hours, as shift patterns are subject to change
