An exciting opportunity exists for a Product Manager to join a leading technology and IT Solutions Company based in Nottingham.
Salary c. £25,000 per annum depending on experience

You will be responsible for managing a wide ranging and varied portfolio of IT peripheral and accessories product lines with an emphasis on selection and management of key products to grow add-on sales. These products require strategic stock positioning and you will support the procurement team in order to maximize margins while supporting sales with product and market knowledge to offer an Insanely Great customer experience.
DUTIES INVOLVED IN THIS VACANCY:
*Work with the business managers to implement and drive key strategies and campaigns for the growth of the product area when appropriate.
*Develop strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure that they can gain competitive advantage in the channel and effectively foresee and respond to changes in a timely manner.
*Work with the procurement function to negotiate pricing and business terms for new products, suppliers and manufacturers as well as marketing funds and rebates where appropriate.
*To be an 'expert' with respect to the product and the competition, responding to a high volume of sales product queries in a timely and comprehensive manner.
*Close management of product lifecycle with regards to end of life stock planning, aged, excess and obsolete stock with strategies to minimize effect on P&L.
*Analyse supply chain and market information, working closely with sales to help them pre-empt customer requirements by selecting the most appropriate product lines to support their core offerings.
*Experience in a business environment, preferably with product management, inventory planning or procurement responsibilities.
*Experience of demonstrating commercial acumen is essential.
*Inventory planning and stock management.
*Understanding of technical aspects of IT and product portfolio's would be advantageous.
*Understanding of IT reseller industry or FMCG or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
