Basic Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience

The main purpose of the Product Support Specialist will be to provide technical and manufacturing expertise in support of supply chain, commercialisation, new product development, sales, marketing and regulatory compliance projects. To be effective, this role will lead the collaboration and communication between internal departments and 3rd party suppliers and manufacturers.
DUTIES INVOLVED IN THIS VACANCY:
*Coordinates the manufacturing process for new components, new products and products changes through to cross departmental sign-off
*Deploys new products and product variations in conjunction with the relevant departments (QA/Innovation/R&D/Operations) and 3rd party suppliers/manufacturers
*Collates relevant paperwork and sets up or amends item's BOM on the internal company system.
*Provide suggestions & recommendations to improve price or reduce costs - as an active member of the PIF costing team (e.g. New components/caps)
*Supports implementation of new manufacturing projects for the purpose if improving quality, reducing price, supplier change
*Contributes to development and refinement of packaging specifications and related documentation
*Provide oversight of packaging from design with external partners through to manufacturing (inclusive of trials) and issue resolution to deliver secondary packaging solutions for new products, product variations and product improvements.
*Provides ongoing packaging design inputs and recommendations to improve performance and/or reduce cost
*Demonstrable experience supporting product- based manufacturing within Supply chain, Purchasing, Quality, NPD and/or Product Commercialisation.
*Hands on technical experience in manufacturing, product development and/or trial production
*Packaging manufacturing and design support experience
*Broad experience managing projects related to packaging, supply, cost and quality improvement
*Project management experience across Europe desirable
