Job Description

PRODUCTION ENGINEER

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer to join one of the region's most successful supply and repair service for gas turbine and fuel system components. This role will be to provide support in the engineering functions associated with the production process and the development programme for new products / house testing facilities.

WORKING HOURS:

Monday to Friday - Day Shift

KEY DUTIES:

Production and maintenance of engineering drawings, BOM's and specifications to be used for the manufacture of components, test jigs & fixtures/test rigs.
Design of test rigs for internal use and new equipment sales.
In house manufacture and assembly of test equipment.
Compilation of technical information and instruction manuals to support test equipment.
Commissioning of new test equipment and service/repair/calibration of existing equipment in the field
Design, source, and installation of test equipment to meet with production demands.
Overseeing investigation and testing of new products or special projects.
Maintaining contact with suppliers via email, telephone, etc. to maintain progress of the manufacture of parts and operations.
Support in the implementation of the ISO9001 quality system

THE CANDIDATE:

HND / Degree, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
PC literate: with the ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Use of Solidworks or similar software.
Use of data acquisition and intelligent instrumentation hardware (Labview).
Experience of fitting and assembly processes.
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Planning and organisational skills are also required to ensure deadlines are met.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
