Job Description

SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER
Due to recent and continued growth, an exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Product Manager to join a leading household brand based in Milton Keynes.

Salary £50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience

DUTIES INVOLVED IN THIS VACANCY:
*Manage new product deployment of range and brand extensions to meet defined price, quality, performance and service objectives
*Evaluate & provide feedback/input regarding briefs (Product Investigation Form) marketing
*Manage the process of costing potential new products including the providing "added value" alternatives with lower overall costs and/or better performance
*Ensure management approval prior to execution of manufacturing
*Leads the communication and effective transition of the new SKU to the Replenishment Team
*Leads the resolution of manufacturing operational issues, working closely with Quality, R&D, Innovation and Supply Chain team
*Manage the product change process within defined scope and tolerance
*Development and maintenance of data systems/platform, processes, procedures and reporting
*Accountable for all aspects of the Bill of Materials to include: documents, completeness, distribution & revision control
*Oversee the reporting of product data and information to include: packaging waste, hazard codes, costs, pallet plans, etc
*Provide leadership, training and coaching to meet corporate and department objectives
*Provide daily coaching and constructive feedback through timely appraisals, goal setting and effective communication. Partner with second coach and/or HR as needed to resolve performance issues.
*Manage and provide technical performance information in the qualification of suppliers,
*Lead the pre-audit assessment and liaise with Quality to ensure QA aspects are considered.

THE CANDIDATE:
*Detailed knowledge of the manufacturing processes
*Knowledge of project and programme management tools & techniques
*Able to analyse data /information and demonstrate numeracy, strong arithmetic and analytical skills
*Ability to author well-structured, accurate and succinct reports/updates suitable for a wide audience, including readers where English is not their first language.
*Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, understanding issues and resolving customer or team challenges
*Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively using priority setting and time management techniques employing advanced organizing skills
*Ability to manage and implement concurrent EIMEA-wide projects and programmes, including operational tasks for extended periods with minimal supervision, consistently bringing activities to conclusion
*Ability to resolve conflicts constructively and to use interpersonal skills effectively - applying situational leadership and other leadership principles as required
*Demonstrated business acumen that balances commercial performance with customer satisfaction
*Ability to manage 3rd party supplier relationships positively and effectively
*Thorough understanding of trade dress, intellectual property and brand protection
*Practical knowledge of document control systems and how they are applied in a manufacturing environment
*Understanding of methods of qualifying contract production suppliers, how to interact with QA, R&D and other related functions
*Ability to work either alone or within a team, including cross-functional teams comprised of internal employees and external partners
