SHIPPING CO-ORDINATOR
We are recruiting a Global Shipping Co-ordinator to join our client's internationally successful business based in Leicester, you will be joining a well-established team on a permanent basis.
Part time hours Monday-Friday 30 hours a week, 9am - 3pm (company can be flexible)
Salary is £19,000 - £22,000 per annum

THE ROLE
You will be joining a shipping team that is based in Leicester, due to business growth with household named clients. The company operates internationally with offices in China, India and Vietnam. This is a varied role where you will be required to organise shipping, take responsibility for customer service and some administration.
Some of the duties will include:
*Sending routine domestic courier using the most cost effective method
*Creating documents for customs and exports, ensuring that all shipments adhere to local rules and regulations.
*Monitor and track all shipments
*Manage and organise operational and logistical duties to a Specified budget/time-frame
*Keep clients and customers updated at all times, inform of any issues or delays and provide excellent customer service at all times
*Maintain critical path (operational updates)
*Review shipment process at regular intervals, always look for ways to optimise transit times and costs.
THE CANDIDATE
Ideally, the candidate will possess the following skills:
*Previous shipping, import/export experience is advantageous
*Willing to help with general office administration
*Ability to work in a fast paced environment and cope well under pressure
*Able to work as part of a team
*Strong IT literacy
*Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
*Able to provide excellent customer service
*Must have good written and communication skills
