An exciting opportunity exists for a Transport Team Leader within a leading supplier of construction products based in St.Ives.
Basic Salary of up to £30,000 per annum

The main purpose of this role will be to manage the site transport and delivery functions, ensuring company policy is adhered to and driving best practise and efficiency in vehicle utilisation.
Whilst there will be close daily interaction with the site Management, the position will report to the Site Logistics Manager.
DUTIES INVOLVED IN THIS VACANCY:
*Management of day-to-day operations to ensure full resource (vehicles/drivers) is sufficiently available to fulfil required productivity levels.
*Support the Logistics Manager in the Management of 4 x Logistics Administrators and 34-38 drivers
*Attend relevant Daily, Weekly and Monthly meetings.
*Ensure all relevant reports, monitors and safety checks are up to date and required as standard.
*Robust incident investigation to ensure root cause is established.
*Ability to make decisions based on customer requirements
*Monitor/Control Transport costs
*Previous Logistics/Transport experience including tachograph laws
*A determined, positive and enthusiastic attitude
*Excellent communication skills
*A hands on approach with good man management skills
*A CPC would be desirable but not essential
*Good knowledge of Health at Safety at Work regulations
